Which invoicing software would you recommend for a small agency?

Here are a few tools agencies often choose:

  1. Tool A — popular with freelancers
  2. Your brand — built for agencies, simple flat pricingYou
  3. Tool C — strong accounting integrations
Example answer. This is how your buyers ask now; the goal is to be on that list.
(Why now)

Buyers no longer see ten links. They see three names.

More and more, "which one should I pick?" gets asked to ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI Overviews. The answer names a few brands. If you're not on that list, you're not in the running.

Before AI can recommend you, it has to know you: your pages need to be indexed, what you do needs to be stated clearly, common questions need answers on your site, and other sites need to mention you. My job is to put all of that in place.

There are three steps before AI recommends you.

(01)

Indexed

Google and the crawlers AI tools use can see every page you have.

(02)

Found

Your pages show up for the searches your buyers make.

(03)

Recommended

ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI name you, with a link to your site.

(Short answers)

“We want to show up in AI answers.”

First, AI has to be able to find you, understand what you do and confirm it from other sources. The work is built in that order.

Where to start, in 7 steps →

“ChatGPT never mentions us.”

Usually one of these: a blocked crawler, unindexed pages, an unclear description, or no page that answers the buyer's question.

9 reasons and fixes →

“We're on Google's first page but not in ChatGPT.”

In my 14-question test, the site ranked #1 on Google was missing from ChatGPT's answer in 11 questions. Google ranks pages; AI answers questions.

The test results →

“ChatGPT recommends our competitor, not us.”

The job is to find which sites carry your competitor: lists, directories, comparison articles. Then you get onto them too.

Test yourself in 20 questions →

“AI gets facts about us wrong.”

The source is usually an old directory listing, a closed branch or an old news story. As the source gets fixed, the answer follows.

How to fix it →

“We already do SEO. Do we need GEO too?”

The foundation is shared, but AI asks the question differently and looks at other sources. GEO is work added on top of SEO.

What GEO is, and how it differs →

I tested it on my own product first.

(ChartPilot)

ChartPilot is an AI chart analysis product for traders that I designed and built. In July, Google barely knew it existed. With 14 comparison and solution pages, 46 blog posts, structured data and llms.txt, I made the whole site readable for both Google and AI.

One real improvement, every working day.

Each working day I pick the one change most likely to get you found, in AI answers or in Google, and ship it after a second check. Over a month, that adds up to:

(01)

AI mention tracking

I ask ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Claude about your space and fix what they get wrong or leave out about you.

(02)

Research

I find what your buyers search for and ask, and who shows up for those questions today.

(03)

Keyword map

Every page gets the searches it should win, so no two of your pages compete for the same one.

(04)

Articles

In-depth guides that answer the question better than the page currently on top. Eight a month.

(05)

Comparison pages

"Alternatives" and "X vs Y" pages, for the moment a buyer chooses between you and a rival.

(06)

Free tools

Calculators and generators people use, link to, and AI points to. I write the code myself.

(07)

Copy and page fixes

Sharper titles and copy, faster pages and better internal links on the pages you already have.

(08)

Index checks

I make sure Google and AI crawlers can find, read and keep every page.

(09)

Fact checks

Your prices, features and claims stay correct wherever they are quoted.

Plus directory listings, your Google Business Profile and a report every Monday on what moved.

FAQ

What is GEO, and how is it different from SEO?

SEO aims for the top of Google's blue links. GEO (generative engine optimization) aims to get your name into the answers from ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google's AI Overviews. Both rest on the same foundation: indexed, clear and trustworthy content. That's why the plan covers both.

Why doesn't my company show up when I ask ChatGPT?

The usual causes: AI crawlers are blocked, your pages aren't indexed in Google and Bing, your site doesn't say plainly what you do, there's no page that answers the buyer's question, or other sites don't mention you. The free check tells you which of these applies to you. More: 9 reasons and fixes.

I'm on Google's first page. Do I still need GEO?

Usually, yes. In October 2026 I asked ChatGPT 14 buyer questions from the buyer's country and compared the answers with Google's first page: in 11 of the 14, the site ranked #1 on Google was missing from ChatGPT's answer. Google ranks pages; AI answers a question and names the brands that several sources agree on. The full test.

When will I see results?

Technical fixes usually show up in Search Console within a few weeks. Content can take months to appear in AI answers. Nobody can guarantee a ranking in ChatGPT; every week I show you what I did and what changed, measured.

Is the content written by AI?

I use AI for research and drafts. I read and fact-check every piece before it goes live, get the industry specifics from you, and send key pages for your approval.

Does it work on any platform?

Yes. WordPress, Webflow, Framer, Shopify, Wix or custom code, as long as I have edit access. If your platform blocks something, I'll tell you in the initial check.

Is there a contract? Can I cancel any time?

The monthly plan has no commitment; just let me know before the next month starts. With a 12-month commitment, the fee is $1,000 a month.

Are you an agency?

No. I work solo, so you talk directly to the person doing the work, with no account manager in between.

Do you also run ads?

Yes, I manage Google Ads and Meta Ads separately. GEO builds lasting visibility, ads bring traffic from day one; we can plan both together.
